Welcome to the matrix

What is the matrix?

The matrix may have different meanings depending on how its defined.

In mathematics: Rectangular array of numbers, symbols, or expressions.

In biology: Material or tissue between cells in which more specialized structures are embedded.

In chemistry: Non-analyte components of a sample.

In geology: Fine-grained material in which larger objects are embedded.

In anatomy: The nerves, lymph and blood vessels beneath and protected by the nail.

Regardless of its definition, it always refers to an array of components limited by its environment's structure. We are the components to the array we call society. In fact, to label a person, place, or thing, is to place it in a "matrix". As soon as we become aware of this encapsulation, we escape the boundaries of its structure. Behold, we are instantly placed within a greater unforseen matrix..
